What is the purpose of the Halle Library Video Studio?

The studio is operated through the University Library in the Division of Academic Affairs. It is dedicated to the production of instructional video and electronic media that has enduring educational value. As such, it is not available for casual recordings or for purposes not related to the educational mission of the University.

Who can use the video studio?

The studio is limited to use by faculty and others working with the library's Director of Video Services. Since the studio is not a classroom space, students working on video projects should secure their instructor's consent in order to check out video equipment from the library's Audio-Visual Distribution area. The person to contact is Mark Morton at 734-487-0020 ext. 2010. Students can also use the equipment in the Multimedia area of the library for editing and post-production. Are there services available for videotaping classes or other presentations?

The library does not have staff on hand to do video recordings for short-term applications or documentation purposes.
